Namibia to face New Zealand on the 36th Match of the T20 World Cup 2021 at 4 pm Bangladeshi time Today.
New Zealand may simply extend their legs from now on, like they did in last week's overwhelming victory over pre-tournament favourites India. Trent Boult and Kane Williamson's proven world-beating skills combined well with their less-heralded matchwinners, Ish Sodhi, Mitchell Santner, and Daryl Mitchell, to give a crushing eight-wicket triumph with 33 balls to spare.
But, lest we forget, Namibia temporarily led Group 2 following a convincing victory against Scotland in Abu Dhabi. They also defeated Ireland and the Netherlands in the first round, and won the respect of Pakistan's high-flyers in a valiant 45-run defeat earlier this week.
* This will be the first international encounter between New Zealand and Namibia in any format.
* Both sides have only played one T20I in Sharjah. Each of the matches occurred during the current tournament, with Namibia beating Ireland in the first round and Pakistan defeating New Zealand in the Super 12s.
