PSG is still keeping an eye on Ousmane Dembele

Even though the 2021/22 season is nearly over, Ousmane Dembele's future remains unknown.

The contract of the Barcelona winger expires at the end of the current season, and despite Xavi Hernandez's desire for him to continue, no renewal has been agreed upon.

Dembele was set to depart the club before Xavi took over, but the Catalan coach found a way to bring the best out of the Frenchman for the time being. He has, however, now relapsed into a state of inactivity.

According to RMC Sport, the 24-year-representatives old's have been in regular touch with Paris Saint-Germain since the January transfer window, and the French club has made an offer for him.

However, it has been stated that Dembele is waiting to learn more about the project at PSG before committing. He is particularly interested in learning whether Kylian Mbappe will return to the Parc des Princes next season, as well as who will succeed Mauricio Pochettino as head coach in the summer.

According to other reports, the French giants are giving Dembele 17 million euros a year, a sum that Barcelona just cannot match.

Dembele, on the other hand, might yet stay at Camp Nou. Barcelona CEO Mateu Alemany is expected to meet with the player's agent, Moussa Sissoko, in an attempt to reach an agreement, but their financial condition remains a stumbling block.
