Manchester City to make move for Brighton's Marc Cucurella

Manchester City has identified Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella as a major target for the summer transfer season.

Pep Guardiola believes his compatriot can be the solution to the left-back position, which has proven a concern for him in previous seasons.Cucurella joined Brighton from Getafe last summer and has made 34 appearances this season, gaining the praise of many fans and experts. He recently scored his first goal for Brighton against Manchester United.

Cucurella has won possession 241 times more than any other full-back in the Premier League this season.

Brighton spent 15.4 million pounds for Cucurella in the summer, but sources in England indicate that he will cost at least twice that amount to play in sky blue next season.

With the signing of Borussia Dortmund attacker Erling Haaland officially completed, it is evident that City intends to complete their summer business as soon as possible.

Cucurella is still only 23 years old and has the ability to play more forward on the left side, which appeals to Guardiola.

The defender played six years in Barcelona's youth system before moving on to Eibar, Getafe, and Brighton.
