Barcelona is in talks to sign Adama Traore

Barcelona have begun talks with Wolves about re-signing Spain winger Adama Traore. The Catalan club prefers a loan deal with the option to buy at the end of the season.

Tottenham's hopes of signing the 26-year-old, who began his career at Barcelona, have been dashed.

According to BBC Sport, Antonio Conte's team had a £15 million bid for Traore rejected last week, though sources at the London club deny making an offer.

Traore's contract at Molineux expires in 18 months, and negotiations for a new deal have yet to be completed. He left the Nou Camp for Aston Villa in 2015, then Middlesbrough for two years before joining Wolves for a then-club record £18 million in 2018.

Following the arrival of Chiquinho from Estoril last week, Wolves have yet to decide whether they will strengthen their squad.
