Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque has said that all the people of the country will get the Covid-19 vaccine in phases.
He said this when Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh Mustafa Osman Turan made a courtesy call on him at the Secretariat on Sunday.
The health minister said a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Covid-19 vaccine was signed with India's Serum Institute, Beximco Pharma in Bangladesh, and the health ministry on Thursday, November 5. According to the agreement, the Indian company will supply 30 million vaccines to Bangladesh through Beximco Pharma.
He said the Bangladesh government will first start work to prevent corona with 30 million vaccines. The government plans to import more vaccines in phases and give them to all the people of the country.
They also discussed on Rohingya issue, community clinic services, hospital activities in the country, measles-rubella vaccine, Coronavirus second wave, and the development and strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.
